We have a request (from Volker as coordinator of FOSS4G 2009 Presentations). The FOSS4G 2009 website states all material is available under CC-BY-SA. This statement is insufficient for https://tib.eu/ portal which would like license agreement.

Would the board sign the license agreement for talk where the
authors/their organization have confirmed via email that they license their talk under CC-BY-SA?

The conference material is available to all under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike license

An email was sent to presenters:

Confirm that your presentation may be made available, preferably
via the Creative Commmons Attribution-Share Alike license:

Volker has offered to go over the old thread and see which confirmation we already have. And send out email to the people we have a video from.

We need to make a motion of some sort - there look to be two options:

a) Sign the provided paperwork to release videos to TIB gradually as Volker obtains explicit permission from presenters (or their organization). Starting with the 25 responses we have from Cameron's initial email.

b) Sign the provided paperwork releasing all the salvaged videos to TIB based in them being published on the FOSS4G 2009 site under a creative commons license.

For (b) we are going on the assumption that LOC (in this case Volker) was acting on our behalf with the best practices of the time. Admittedly we have learned a bit since then or we would not be having this conversation.

I think this is worth some discussion prior to making a motion for (a) or (b) above.

I prefer Jody's option (b). If we got any complaints or asking to remove his/her videos, we can remove that on request basis.
